According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, described the recent U.S. actions—particularly its military maneuvers against Venezuela—as destabilizing and provocative, calling them a threat to regional peace and security. He warned of the global consequences of Washington’s aggressive unilateralism and disregard for international norms.

Baghaei strongly denounced U.S. military attacks on fishing vessels in the region and its threats to use force against Venezuela’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He characterized these actions as a blatant violation of the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter and the fundamental rules of international law.
He urged the UN Security Council and the Secretary-General to pay immediate attention to the dangerous situation resulting from the United States’ insistence on illegal interference in the internal affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela—a sovereign member of the United Nations.
