Sheikh Azmi Abdul Hamid, the president of Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) said the Operation al-Aqsa Flood marked not merely a military operation but a symbol of defiance, dignity, and determination of a besieged people who refused to live under perpetual occupation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He noted the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood as a historic awakening that shattered the myth of Israel’s invincibility and revived the spirit of global resistance against colonial oppression.

The Malaysian scholar noted,” Al-Aqsa Flood was not an attack, it was a cry of a people abandoned by the world. Two years later, that cry has become a call for global awakening.”

He condemned the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza under the world’s watch, despite clear violations of international law and humanitarian norms and the regime’s impunity to punishment.

Azmi Abdul Hamid has praised the global awakening of conscience emphasizing that the governments must now move from words to action.

The president of MAPIM urged for total economic, cultural, and diplomatic boycott of Israel, expulsion of the Israeli regime from the United Nations, prosecution of the regime’s leaders for war crimes at the International Criminal Court.

He also asserted the necessity of protecting the humanitarian missions.

“The Ummah (nation) must rise in unity”, said the Malaysian scholar adding that,” The spirit of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood reminds every Muslim nation that liberation will not come through compromise or Western dictates, but through steadfast faith, solidarity, and resistance grounded in justice.

MAPIM also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to adopt a proactive and united position to demand an end to the genocide and initiate an international protection mechanism for Palestinians.

Sheikh Azmi Abdul Hamid asserted the need for continued mass mobilization of the global public until Palestine is free and Al-Aqsa is liberated.

He also urged the Muslim scientists, scholars, and youth to channel their intellect and innovation toward rebuilding the resilience and dignity of the Ummah.

The Malaysian coalition reiterated its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, and pledges to continue all political, humanitarian and intellectual efforts until justice, freedom, and peace with dignity are restored.

The message by MAPIM was issued as the Israeli genocide in Gaza marked its second anniversary amid the ongoing Israeli genocidal war in Gaza leaving more Palestinians dead, injured and displaced.
