Cleric stresses action after recognition of Palestine

The head of the Council of Shia Scholars of Pakistan says recognition of Palestine alone is not enough stressing that practical measures are also needed for liberation of the occupied territories.

Ayatollah Sayyed Sajid Naqvi noted that even the countries that were silent or supported the occupying regime confess to the oppressions by the regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He noted,” Some countries are now recognizing Palestine state, the countries that played a role in establishment and support of an Israeli state and contributed to the catastrophic situation in Gaza.”
 
The cleric added,” The world must remember that world imperialism is the main factor behind the oppression of Palestine”, demanding the pro-Palestine governments to end economic cooperation, summon their ambassadors and boycott the Israeli products.”
 
Ayatollah Naqvi made the remarks in response to the recognition of Palestine state by a number of countries among them the UK, Canada and Australia calling that a victory achieved as a result of the constant fight by Palestinians.
 
“Supporters of Israel who have been silent so far or backed the regime are now confessing to the ongoing oppression by Israel and recognized the Palestine state”, said the Pakistani scholar and added,” In order to prevent the oppression of the Israeli regime, these countries must take practical measures.”
 
He urged the countries that have been condemning the Israeli genocide since long to summon their ambassadors, withdraw their money from imperialist banks and boycott the products from the occupied territories so that the regime ends its genocide in Gaza.
