Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has condemned the global silence surrounding Israel’s military actions in Gaza, calling it a clear case of genocide.

Araghchi made the remarks in a meeting late on Monday as part of the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference.
He emphasized that while Muslims gather to honor the birth of the Prophet, Palestinians, especially in Gaza, are enduring daily suffering under “unimaginable war crimes.”
The Israeli regime is using starvation as a weapon and targeting civilians seeking food, noting that the regime has “crossed every red line.”
Araghchi criticized the international community for its muted response, noting that despite technological advances that allow real-time broadcasting of the violence, many nations remain silent.
“This is not just a Palestinian issue,” he warned. “The consequences are already visible in Lebanon, Syria, and even in attacks against Iran.”
According to Araghchi, Israel’s strategy revolves around sowing division and weakening Muslim unity, with renewed calls for a so-called “Greater Israel” surfacing in political discourse.
Araghchi highlighted Iran’s growing cooperation with neighboring countries, claiming that years of resistance in Palestine, Syria, and Iran have clarified the true source of regional instability. “For years, efforts were made to portray Iran as the threat,” he said. “But today, it’s clear that Zionism is the real danger.”
