“We believe that sustained cooperation among Islamic countries across all sectors will not only foster development and progress, but also render us immune to sanctions and defeat,” he said.
A Call for Vigilance Against Division
The president warned against divisive narratives within the Islamic Ummah, describing them as dangerous tools used by enemies to sow discord.
“We must remain vigilant against these conspiracies and avoid fueling sectarian tensions,” he added.
He stressed that strengthening ties among Islamic nations is essential for the growth and vitality of Muslim societies.
“Today, the Zionist regime acts as a tool of the United States and its allies, committing crimes, inciting division, and plundering the resources of Islamic countries. Only through unity can we neutralize this threat.”
Gaza and Iran: Symbols of Resistance
Pezeshkian praised the steadfastness of the people of Gaza and the resilience of the Iranian nation in recent confrontations, calling them powerful symbols of unity and strength.
“No military force—be it fighter jets, bombs, or missiles—can break the spirit of a united and determined people,” he said.
He also addressed Iraq’s upcoming elections, urging political unity beyond ethnic and sectarian lines.
“We consider all Iraqi political groups—Shia and Sunni alike—as our brothers and support a unified and dignified Iraq.”
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to expanding comprehensive relations with Iraq in all fields.
In response, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim expressed his appreciation for Iran’s support during the recent 12-day war with the Zionist regime.
“Iran’s remarkable performance in this conflict earned admiration not only from Islamic nations but from freedom-loving people around the world,” he said.
Al-Hakim praised the leadership of Iran’s Supreme Leader, the presence of senior officials among the people, and the strength of Iran’s armed forces as key factors in the country’s resilience.
“Iran has brought dignity and strength to the entire Islamic Ummah.”
He also noted the political support from Arab and Islamic countries for Iran’s stance against the U.S. and Israel, describing it as a major opportunity for regional unity.
Al-Hakim welcomed Pezeshkian’s planned visit to Iraq as his first foreign trip, calling it valuable for both nations.
“The Iraqi people closely follow the positions of Iranian officials and recognize you as an honest and straightforward leader.”
He concluded by calling for stronger economic and trade ties, noting that current levels remain below the full potential of the two countries.
