Iranian Cleric: Victory in 12-Day War Shows the “Miracle of Unity”

7 Sep 2025 - 22:28

Speaking at the National Conference on Unity and Resistance, he urged Muslims worldwide to imagine the transformative power such solidarity could have if replicated across the entire Ummah.

Mahami framed the struggle as part of an enduring confrontation between “truth and falsehood” and “Islam and disbelief,” warning that this clash has become sharper and more global in the current geopolitical climate. He accused the United States and its allies of openly supporting Israel’s military actions in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and against Iran itself.

Calling the conflict a “hybrid, cognitive, and battle of wills,” he said the primary target is the minds and beliefs of the younger generation in the Islamic world. In the 12-day war, he argued, Iranians demonstrated high levels of reason and commitment, standing firmly for Islam, the Revolution, and national leadership.
Mahami stressed that unity must be rooted in intellectual and spiritual foundations, with reason serving as an inner guide alongside divine revelation. He noted that both religious texts and historical experience show that while resistance carries costs, surrender to oppression is far more costly — citing Libya and Syria as examples where disarmament led to vulnerability.
He warned that external powers seek to fragment Muslim-majority states, and that a rational, united society can weigh the costs of resistance versus submission and choose the path to political, economic, and military strength.
Quoting the Qur’anic injunction to “hold fast to the rope of God, all together, and do not be divided,” Mahami concluded that unity is the key to safeguarding the dignity and sovereignty of the Islamic world.
