Mamusta Jalal Moradi, the Friday prayer leader of Iran’s Divandarreh, says that unity is a religious obligation, spiritual awareness, and resilience.

Mamusta Moradi made comments at the webinar of the 39th Islamic Unity Conference.

He said that Islamic unity transcends mere religious unity, noting that the foundation of religious unity should allow Muslims of various sects and groups to come together based on their religious beliefs, with the prerequisite of setting aside differences.

The cleric noted that the Islamic world today is in dire need of a unity reminiscent of the era of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He called on all Muslims to be vigilant against adversaries and to steer clear of divisive conflicts.

Maintaining unity within the Muslim community is a manifestation of social piety, he said, adding that obedience to God serves as a common ground for all Muslims.

With the theme “1500th Birth Anniversary of Prophet of Blessings and Islamic Nation”, the 39th Islamic Unity Conference will be held from September 7 to 10, 2025, in Tehran.
