A senior Iranian cleric, Hujjat-ul-Islam Biazar Shirazi, says that the Prophet Muhammad's approach in fostering a united community can serve as a framework for understanding the ongoing status of the Islamic world.

Biazar Shirazi made comments at the webinar of the 39th Islamic Unity Conference, noting that one of the first actions of the Prophet upon his migration to Medina was to formulate a brotherhood pact and the constitution of Islam titled Ummah Wahidah, roughly meaning United Community.

This foundational move was pivotal in establishing unity among the diverse groups within the early Muslim community, he underlined.

The Prophet interconnected the principles of unity with belief, ethics, and practical programs, the expert said, adding that boosting faith among Muslims is essential for solidifying their unity.

God has consistently instructed His prophets to avoid causing division within the religion, observing that all practical programs of Islam are structured around the principle of unity, he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the analyst highlighted how the Quran addresses differences with utmost respect.
With the theme “1500th Birth Anniversary of Prophet of Blessings and Islamic Nation”, the 39th Islamic Unity Conference will be held from September 7 to 10, 2025, in Tehran.
