Insulting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Is a Red Line for Islamic Ummah

He called for a decisive diplomatic response from the Iranian government and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
Insulting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Is a Red Line for Islamic Ummah
In an interview with Taghrib News Agency, Mahmoudi began by referring to the historical roots of hostility toward the Prophet, stating:  Enmity toward the Messenger of God began in the era of Mecca and Medina and, regrettably, continues to this day. But history has repeatedly shown that such animosity leads to nothing but disgrace for those who engage in it.”

Expressing deep sorrow over the offensive publication, he stressed: “This shameless act has wounded the hearts of nearly two billion Muslims. Without question, the Turkish government, as the official authority of that country, must be held responsible for this flagrant act of disrespect.”

Mahmoudi emphasized that “The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the red line of the Islamic Ummah,” adding:  “To remain silent in the face of such an offense is a betrayal of one’s faith and religious honor. We expect the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon the Turkish ambassador and firmly convey the outrage of the Islamic Ummah — particularly the love and devotion of the Prophet’s followers — to that government.”

Calling for the “severest punishment for those behind this disgraceful act,” Mahmoudi asserted: “Such provocations will never fracture the unity of the Islamic Ummah. On the contrary, they only strengthen our collective resolve to defend our sacred values.”

In closing, he declared:  “We, the Sunni scholars, stand alongside our Shia brothers in wholeheartedly defending the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and we will never allow the enemies of Islam to insult our beliefs under the guise of media freedom.”
