Israeli Regime's Attack on Iran is a Test for the Islamic Ummah
According to the Taghrib news agency, Ayatollah Sayyid Yasin Mousavi, the Friday prayer leader of Baghdad and a prominent scholar at the Najaf Ashraf seminary, warned that this attack marks a turning point in the confrontation between the Islamic Ummah on one side and the tripartite alliance of the United States, Europe, and Israel on the other.

He emphasized that the continuation of division among Islamic countries will lead to nothing but defeat and collapse, as has occurred in Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria, and continues within the framework of the comprehensive American plan to alter the structure of the region.
Ayatollah Mousavi also deemed the statements of condemnation and denunciation insufficient, calling for a serious return to Quranic teachings and emphasizing reflection on the verses of Surah Al-Ahzab, which speak of difficult tests and seismic trials of faith.
He added that the goal of the attack on Iran is not merely the assassination of certain commanders, scholars, and civilians—including women and children—but is part of a global conspiracy to destroy the justice and truth that is manifested in authentic Islam.
Ayatollah Mousavi, referring to the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this path, noted that the system of Velayat-e Faqih has stood as the only independent system against global colonialism for four decades, raising the banner of defending the oppressed around the world—whether in Sunni or Shia countries.
In conclusion, the Friday prayer leader of Baghdad emphasized that this battle transcends political geography and is, in fact, a struggle with a nation that God has chosen to establish justice on earth and fulfill the promise of caliphate; a promise that will be realized in the government of truth and divine civilization under the leadership of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance). He referenced verse 55 of Surah An-Nur, which promises victory, power, and security for the righteous believers.
