“Ghadir Event in line with establishment of unified Islamic nation”, cleric
A senior Iranian cleric has stressed that the Event of Ghadir a moment in the history of Islam which was in line with establishment of a unified Islamic nation.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Taha Mousavi Hashtroodi, a professor of Qom Seminary, said in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), referred to the event of Ghadir Khum during which Imam Ali (AS) was introduced as the leader of the Islamic nation after the demise of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
He said,” There have been several narrations about the incident of Ghadir Khum when nearly one hundred and twenty thousand people gathered in a place called Ghadir Khum on the way back from Hajj, and then the Prophet of Islam established a bond of brotherhood with Imam Ali (AS) and introduced him as his successor.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mousavi stated: Therefore, the covenant of brotherhood that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) announced at Ghadir is a symbol of unity, closeness, and kindness among the Islamic nation.
He added,” Consequently, the Day of Ghadir was held in line with establishment of the unified nation.”
The senior scholar emphasized: "We must put aside differences and reach consensus by accepting the beliefs and principles of the Islamic religion, and put unity at the forefront of affairs."
He reiterated, "In fact, the incident of Ghadir is also a common issue that has been mentioned in all Islamic schools and is the axis of unity and solidarity of the Islamic nation, because the issue of Ghadir has been examined in various books by Sunnis and Shias."
