Imam Khomeini, a polymath mastering philosophy, mysticism, fiq’h

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini (RA), as a character with mastery of philosophy, mysticism and fiq’h when he proposed jurisprudence theory.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his latest remarks, referred to the unique character of Imam Khomeini (RA) who followed Islamic-philosophical, Islamic-mystical and Islamic-fiq’h schools of thought, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The senior cleric made the remarks on the eve of the 36th passing anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA) to be marked in early June.
 
He said,” In fiq’h, mystical and philosophical view, there is one shared point where Imam Khomeini (RA) stood” and added,” The theory of jurisprudence (Wilayat Faqi’h) by Imam Khomeini (RA) was derived from the shared characteristics of a reference, a professor and a mentor.
 
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called the school of Islam as a comprehensive school that has not seen a high character like Imam Khomeini (RA) over centuries and said,” The late leader introduced the school of Islamic revolution to us and the new generation.”
 
Dr Shahriari praised Imam Khomeini (RA) for developing the theory of Islamic unity as an approach that emphasizes necessity of solidarity among Muslims from different denominations.
 
He concluded,” Imam Khomeini (RA) proposed and developed the theory of Islamic unity with regards to the then political and social necessities in order to boost solidarity among Muslims.”
