Islamophobia is Biggest Challenge Facing Muslims in Europe

According to the Taghrib News Agency, Asma Ochan, President of the Muslim Council of Belgium, emphasized that Islamophobia is not limited to Belgium but has increased in most European countries, deepening the problems faced by Muslim communities.

She pointed to the ban on hijab in Belgium as a significant barrier, adding that the laws and policies enacted in Belgium against Muslims make their lives more difficult.
Ochan noted that Muslim women face severe challenges in finding jobs and continuing their education due to the hijab ban in Belgium.
The leader of the Muslim Council of Belgium stressed that while the Muslim population in Belgium is nearly one million out of a total population of 13 million, simply having a large population is not enough to solve the problems Muslims face.
The international scientific conference "Islamophobia: Unveiling Biases and Dismantling Stereotypes" began yesterday, May 26, in Baku. This conference is jointly organized by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, the Center for Analysis of International Relations, and the Baku Initiative Group to commemorate the third anniversary of the International Day Against Islamophobia.
