President stresses necessity of unity, cohesion, urging against division
According to the Taghrib News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian, during the anniversary ceremony of the establishment of Azad University, said that universities should train individuals who love their homeland and strive to build the future of this land.
The President remarked that if we have the necessary will, we can accomplish anything. He noted that a few months ago, he was an ordinary person, but today he is the President. He emphasized that we are all capable of reaching high positions and can achieve things that may seem impossible, as long as we have the will and belief.
Pezeshkian referred to the indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the U.S., stating that it is not the case that if they refuse to negotiate with us and impose sanctions, we will starve. We will find a way; there are hundreds of paths to overcome our problems. We just need to join hands, unite, and allow our elites to work in the field.
He stressed that individuals should not be sidelined due to gender, ethnicity, or political orientation, adding that piety means making decisions and acting without error in the pursuit of truth and the welfare of the people.
Pezeshkian concluded by stating that the people and the country need academics, elites, and scholars. He noted that many may not realize the services our elites and scientists provide to the country, but those who work for their people and for God are willing to sacrifice their own lives for the salvation of the region, their beliefs, and the success of their country without expecting anything in return.
