Islamic convergence, key objective of Hajj congregation

A number of the Iranian Sunni prayer leaders stressed convergence and solidarity as the key objective of Hajj congregation calling on Muslims to practice the mottos of the annual Islamic ritual.

In their address to the worshipers attending the Sunni Friday prayers across Iran, the prayer leaders highlighted a number of topics among them Hajj pilgrimage and the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Akhoond Nasser Mohammad Ghezel, the Friday prayer leader of Maraveh Tappeh in Golestan province, said the Hajj pilgrims are supposed to wear Ihram (attire for Hajj) in order to stand in the same status regardless of their social ranking, ethnicity or complexion.
 
He said,” The objective of Hajj is to focus on the God Almighty and leaving behind one’s ego.”
 
The top cleric also highlighted support for the Palestinians in Gaza and said,” The enemy, by disintegrating Islamic countries, empowered rulers who prioritized the worldly interests to the people and totally disregarded supporting the oppressed Muslim nations.”
 
The prayer leader of Incheh Borun, reiterated importance of Islamic unity and dedication for one’s country.
 
Akhoond Madad Houshmand, congratulated the anniversary of the 1982 Khorramshahr Liberation, a battle during which Iran reclaimed the southern city of Khorramshahr from Iraqi forces who invaded and seized the port city for seven months.
 
The Friday prayer leader of Tatar Olya, Akhoon Mohammad Jorjani also congratulated the victory anniversary of Khorramshahr Battle as a clear manifestation of the heavenly assistance for Muslims and one of the most beautiful days after the Islamic Revolution.
 
The Friday prayer leader of Aqqala noted that Hajj congregation displays the grandeur and glory of Islam and Muslims.
 
Akhoond Abdul Hayy Mirza Ali stressed,” If Hajj rituals are perfectly performed, then all issues across the world of Islam will be settled.”
 
The prayer leader of Kerend in Gonbad-e Kavus, Akhoond Ghorban Haghighi, called on Muslims to make the best of the time during Hajj pilgrimage and promote affection among the Islamic community they meet in Hajj.
