“Dhul Hijjah, time for worship and Islamic proximity”, cleric
A member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts has called the Islamic lunar month of Dhul Hijjah as a time for worshipping God Almighty and a special time to promote Islamic proximity.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Javad Mojtahedi Shabestari, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), highlighted the prayers and acts of charity carried out during Dhul Hijjah and the rituals particularly performed on Eid al-Adha.
He called on the Muslim world to remain pious and boost Islamic solidarity as recommended by holy Qur’an.
The cleric said,” In fact the Islamic ummah (nation) converge during Hajj to remain close and maintain unity and their congregation in Arafat Plains could symbolize their unity.”
He called on Muslims to make the best of the Dhul Hijjah in order to prepare for the month of Muharram when the world is enlightened by the truth Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam revealed to all.
