Iran to host next round of Islam-Orthodox Christianity interfaith dialogue
The head of Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Communications has expressed hope that the 13th round of Islam-Orthodox Christianity which is set to be hosted by the Islamic Republic will propose ways for effective involvement of spirituality in the multipolar world.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, met with Metropolitan Kirill, the Patriarch of Moscow and Chairman of Russian Orthodox Church on the sideline of his trip to Kazan to attend the “Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum” where Tehran was announced as the host for the next round of Islam-Orthodox Christianity meeting, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Other participants in this meeting were Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, Abdulreza Rashed, communication deputy at Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Communications, Masoud Ahmadvand, Iran’s cultural attaché and also Ilya Kashitsyn, secretary for Interreligious. Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations.
Speaking at the forum, he said,” The world is in need of a review on involvement of religion and spirituality in the future world which is now developing” highlighting the role of religious leaders.
Metropolitan Kirill, for his part, expressed regret that the world is grappling with basic identity and moral challenges and highlighted importance of teaching the values and spiritual traditions to the future generation.
