“World arrogance still pursuing division diplomacy in region”, cleric

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking at the webinar held by the Islamic unity center titled “Role of Communications and Media in Muslim World Unity” highlighted the grounds needed towards the new Islamic civilization and Union of Islamic countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He called the resistance axis, established by the Islamic Republic of Iran early after the 1979 revolution, as the first side saying,” This axis has stood against the arrogant powers who have plagued the entire region during the past four decades and disintegrated India, Iran and the Ottomans” warning,” Arrogant powers are still pursuing the project for disunity and hypocrisy in the region.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari called the Al-Azhar University as the second side of the structure as the Egyptian academy follows intra-Islamic dialogue between Shia and Sunni and highlights fraternal ties among the Islamic denominations.

As the third side, the Iranian cleric named Saudi Arabia, who has been seeking regional peace in order to follow economic megaprojects, like Neom and held two sessions of the Islamic conference titled “Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought” in parallel move to the annual Islamic Unity Conference held by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The senior scholar named the Turkish-Qatari axis, mainly backed by the Brotherhood, as the fourth side of this structure and an axis keeping space with the three other sides.

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted importance of Iran’s cooperation with the three other sides and quoted the Leader of Islamic Republic highlighting that the new Islamic civilization will not materialize without the collaboration of Shia and Sunni and the entire world of Islam.
