The head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations has stressed the realization of a united Islamic Ummah as the only way out of unilateralism in international relations.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mahdi Imanpour made the remarks in an address to the culture ministers of the OIC member states held in Kazan.
 
Emphasizing the need to form new alliances among Islamic countries, he said the solution to the Palestinian problem lies in the cooperation of Muslim countries and joint action.
 
He stressed the necessity of intercultural dialogue and establishment of institutions to settle global issues.
 
The top cleric said, “Today more than ever, we need a constructive dialogue between governments and nations, especially Islamic countries.”
 
Referring to the rapid developments in the world, he said that at a time when the world is passing through a historic turning point, it is imperative to hold regular and inclusive dialogues to address fundamental issues such as human rights, youth education and the future of human civilization among many more topics.
 
The 14th meeting of the OIC member states’ culture minister is being held in Kazan with the theme “Dialogue of Cultures - the Basis for Preserving Identity and Diversity in a Multipolar World”.
 
Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, has been selected as the 2025 Cultural Capital of the Muslim World.
