To practice Islamic unity prevents catastrophes across Muslim world
The president of the University of Islamic Denominations in Iran has stressed that Islamic unity must be practically pursued across the world of Islam in order to prevent repetition of catastrophes (like Gaza) in Muslim countries.

Mohammad Hadi Fallahzadeh made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation of Bangladeshi religious scholars in the Iranian capital Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the global mission of the Iranian academy to expand Islamic proximity across the world and said,” Our behavior must pursue the interests of Muslim world” and added,” If the ideological borders are lifted, then the geographical borders will make no hinderance for boosting out unity.”
He stressed,” We must follow the objective of practical unity, in order to prevent recurrence of catastrophes across the world of Islam.”
Regarding the objectives behind establishment of religious academy in Iran, he said,” Expanding Islamic proximity, both in theory and in practice, has been a key objective for launching the academy.”
The Iranian cultural figure emphasized the preparation of the University of Islamic Denominations for student and professor exchange programs, both in online and in presence classes, with Bangladeshi academies.
Molavi Eshaq Madani, a member of the academic board at the university of Islamic Denominations highlighted the role of scientific interaction among scholars of different Islamic schools of thought in boosting solidarity among Muslims.
Dr. Veisi, head of the Fiqh and Shafei Laws, stressed convergence among Muslims and reiterated importance of strengthening convergence in face of common threats.
The delegation of Bangladeshi scholars highlighted the role of the Iranian university in promoting the culture of Islamic proximity and interfaith dialogue.
The meeting wrapped up with a unity prayer performed by the Shia and Sunni scholars attending this session.
