Iraqi cleric: Spread of Hatred in Society is One of Satan's Tools to Weaken Islamic Ummah

Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Yaqubi, a Shia senior cleric in Najaf, highlighted the dangers of spreading hatred and enmity in society, considering it one of Satan's methods and tools to weaken the Islamic Ummah. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining unity and cohesion among Muslims.

He further warned about the destructive effects of alcohol and gambling, stressing that these two are tools of Satan to ignite the fire of hostility among people, ultimately leading to the forgetfulness of God's remembrance and neglect of prayer.
He added: "Such behaviors weaken the moral and spiritual foundations of society and put social cohesion at risk."
Ayatollah Yaqubi called for the promotion of love, empathy, and social cohesion, stating: "Islam emphasizes unity and avoidance of discord, and the Holy Quran and noble traditions invite Muslims to solidarity and brotherhood; for only under the shade of these values can a pleasing society for Almighty God be established."
He regarded the preservation of the unity of the Islamic Ummah as a religious duty and a shared responsibility for all believers, noting: "God's hand is with the community, and whoever separates from it puts themselves and the Ummah in danger."
