Qalibaf: Islamic Society and Government Need Islamic Human Sciences
The Speaker of the Parliament stated that the concepts of Islamization and popularization in the teachings of Imam Khomeini are intertwined and interdependent. Popularization is a demand of Islam, while Islamization is a demand of the people; neither can be achieved without the other. What interprets and elaborates on the connection between these two is Islamic human sciences.

He stated that the late martyr Morteza Motahhari believed that the realization of an Islamic civilization requires sciences derived from a monotheistic worldview, as knowledge becomes purposeful when situated within a worldview. The idea of rethinking and reconstructing human sciences based on Islamic teachings stems from this perspective.
Qalibaf emphasized that Motahhari, with his keen insight, concluded decades ago that both Islamic society and government require Islamic human sciences. Therefore, the critical re-examination and reconstruction of existing human sciences, the revival and reproduction of Islamic sciences, and the production of Islamic human sciences within his intellectual framework are essential for forming an Islamic government and society.
He added, "We all know that the victory of the Islamic Revolution, which revived national matters and brought the people to the center of governance, was based on the beliefs and ideas of Imam Khomeini. He deemed the Islamization of the institution of knowledge necessary to free it from the culture of Eastern and Western dependency, while also believing in the role of the people as the driving force behind all transformations."
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated, "For this reason, we believe that today, more than four decades after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, intellectuals and scientific institutions can be a source of transformation in human sciences from two perspectives: first, the impact of belief and adherence to religious principles and Islamic teachings in changing the public destiny, and second, the results derived from the performance of the first decade of the revolution to move based on those meanings and teachings."
