According to Israeli media outlets, the fresh Yemeni missile attack set off sirens in towns and cities south of the occupied territories, including Beersheba and the surrounding area, on Saturday morning.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The Israeli military claimed in a statement that its anti-air missile systems had intercepted the projectile, and shot it down before crossing into the skies over the occupied territories.
The overnight attack came a few hours after the United States conducted new acts of aggression against Yemen by launching a wave of airstrikes across multiple regions in the Arab country.
The retaliatory strike came in response to the Israeli regime’s relentless genocidal war against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, where close to 51,500 Palestinians, most of them women and children have been killed so far.
