Cleric stresses necessity of reviewing human rights charter amid Gaza genocide
The head of Iran’s Organization of Culture and Islamic Communications said the ongoing genocide in Gaza mandates development of new human rights policies.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Imani Pour made the remarks at the press conference held ahead of the first international summit on human rights in current eastern approach, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He noted the current functions of the international community regarding human rights reveal a big failure and said,” Gaza genocide mandates us to introduce a new system in the human rights domain.”
The cleric added,” The title of the upcoming summit, that refers to eastern human rights approach, focuses on eastern culture with its just and anthropomorphic view on human rights.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Imanipour said,” We are seeking a global coalition to promote new human rights policies”.
According to the cleric the upcoming summit will convene participants, including the parliamentary human rights commissions from 21 countries who are expected to reach a coalition in the field of human rights.
He said,” The least function of this charter will be challenging the human rights basics currently implemented across the globe.”
