Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi, in his Friday sermon called Iran as the decision maker in the nuclear negotiations with the United States, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” The other side had chosen the United Arab Emirates (UAE) while the Islamic Republic announced Oman as the venue of the talks and they intended to discuss a range of topics while the decision makers in Tehran chose only one topic, nuclear programs.”
The cleric said Iran’s nuclear program is a localized industry which is non-negotiable because the other side intends to deprive Iran of this achievement.
Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi said the call to holding negotiations is a deceit as the US President previously left the 2015 nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The sermon by top cleric came a day before the US and Iranian delegations met in the Omani capital Muscat to hold nuclear talks.
