He highlighted that the current pace of developments requires all Islamic governments to closely monitor events and determine their positions.
The Leader extended a hand of friendship to all Islamic governments, expressing that the Islamic Republic considers itself a brother to them and stands on the same general front. He pointed out that parts of the Islamic world are currently "severely wounded," specifically mentioning Palestine and Lebanon.
"The crimes taking place in this region are unprecedented. We cannot recall, in the history that we have observed or read about, anyone having killed nearly 20,000 children in less than two years in a military conflict," he said, referring to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip that began in October 2023.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that to effectively confront the unparalleled crimes of the Israeli regime and its supporters in Palestine and Lebanon, Islamic governments should unite.
Earlier in the day, Ayatollah Khamenei also led the Eid al-Fitr prayers, which is one of the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world.
