Iran not intimidated by US harsh sanctions
Beirut - Taqrib News Agency (TNA) - Lebanese PM Najib Mikati, reviewed bilateral relations with visiting Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Gadhanfar Roknabadi Saturday at the Grand Serail.

No disclosure as to discussions' outcome was available.

Iran's Ambassador stressed that "accusing Iran of trying to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, Adel al-Jubeir, is linked to foreign gains as the United States is trying to cover its failures."

In an interview with "al-Joumoriyah" newspaper Abadi noted to "the speed with which was the fabricated investigations and conclusions announced."

"These are mere fabrications, US was quick to take a position through the head of its executive leaders, which bodes for a new scenario performed with the Zionists and its backed states," the Iranian diplomat said.

Explaining that "pointing the finger towards Iran came to compensate for the great loss the US suffered by the fall of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt," the Iranian ambassador said that "Mubarak's toppling came as a crash to the fortress aiming at maintaining "Israel's" security.

Abadi, who hailed the meeting that was held between the Saudi ambassador in Tehran and the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, pointed out that "there is an attempt to sabotage the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran and to fish in troubled water."

Describing the relationship with Saudi Arabia as "good and positive," he emphasized that "it doesn't matter if they imposed four or forty sanctions."

"We are a nuclear country and we are self-sufficient in most areas, and our people's confidence is the largest nuclear bomb," he added.
Reflecting that "Iran is comfortable," Abadi confirmed that "Iran isn't to witness disorders and we are to continue to support the cause of oppressed peoples."
