Negotiation with US means humiliation, dishonor

The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran said negotiation with Washington means admitting humiliation and dishonor citing a recent quarrel between the US and Ukraine Presidents in the White House.

Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami said those dependent on the United States will suffer the same humiliation Ukrainian president tolerated in the US since that is the morale of the arrogant powers (like Donald Trump), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Despite Leader’s constant warnings that negotiations with the United States is neither honorable nor logical, some could not believe that until they witnessed the behavior with Ukrainian president and admitted that US does not deserve negotiation.”

The senior cleric also condemned the US and European Troika including Germany, France and UK for threatening Iran with a measure by the Board of Governors and said,” You have been repeating such thread-bare threats for more than 45 years but have not made and will not make benefits.”

Ayatollah Khatami also blasted the Turkish Foreign Minister over harmful comments on Iran’s foreign policy and said,” Iran pursues policy of good neighborliness, according to its constitution, and the Turkish officials must be assured of the repercussions of their remarks.”

He also rebuked Ankara for deployment of forces to fight against Syria while accusing the Islamic Republic of interference in the domestic issues of the Arab country.
