Ramadan, opportunity to boost Islamic proximity

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has hailed the fasting month of Ramadan as an opportunity to enhance proximity among different Islamic denominations.

The senior cleric made the remarks in a post on his X, previously known as Twitter, as he congratulated world Muslims on the advent of holy Ramadan, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Ramadan is an opportunity in order to cling to the sacred rope of Allah through fasting and prayers and enjoy the heavenly blessings.”

The senior cleric also called Ramadan as a time to highlight religious commonalities, clinging to the rope of unity and boosting the proximity among all Islamic denominations.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari issued the message on Sunday which marks the first day of Ramadan 2025.

Muslims across the globe observe one month of fasting, prayer and charity activities during Ramadan, ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar.
