The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has praised a recent resistance of the Lebanese people against Israeli forces who targeted the civilians returning to their homes in south Lebanon.

The Leader made the remarks in a post on X, former Twitter, on Sunday and issued the video of a Lebanese woman standing against an Israeli tank, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Khamenei said,” Today all political and financial calculations have submitted to the pious and pure people in south Lebanon who took no heed of the occupying Zionist army.”

The Leader also hailed the sacrifice made by Lebanese people taking their lives to the battlefield.

The message also depicts a Lebanese woman standing in front of an Israeli tank by herself to prevent its advance.

The reaction by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution comes a day after nearly two dozen Lebanese people were killed as Israeli regime forces opened fire on civilians returning to their homes in south Lebanon.

The 60-day deadline for the complete pullout of the Israeli forces from southern Lebanon ended on Sunday.

However, the Israeli military put up barricades in the area warning Lebanese people not to return to their hometowns in the country’s south.
