Gazans attend first communal Friday prayer in 16 months
The Palestinian worshipers in Gaza Strip have held the first communal Friday prayer after the ceasefire and withdrawal of the Israeli troops.

The first weekly Friday prayer in southern Gaza Strip was held in the ruined homes in al-Farahani neighborhood in Khan Younis after 16 months of relentless Israeli strikes, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA). https://www.taghribnews.com/images/docs/files/000665/nf00665418-1.mp4
The ceremony comes less than a week after the ceasefire between Hamas resistance movement and Israeli regime took effect.
The mosque, one of the many treasured landmarks in Gaza was damaged in an Israeli military offensive that caused widespread destruction to the historical site.
Nearly 160 mosques have been completely destroyed and more than 830 were damaged during more than 15 months of indiscriminate attacks.
Israeli regime dropped approximately 100 tons of explosives during more than fifteen months of incessant strikes across Gaza destroying 88% of the infrastructures in the besieged strip.
The attacks have killed nearly 47,000 people and injured over 111,000 others with more than 10,000 others missing under the rubble of the destroyed buildings.
