Pro-Palestine activists across the globe held new rallies ahead of a ceasefire expected to end more than 15 months of Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip.

Several thousand pro-Palestinian supporters took part in a demonstration in central London on Saturday.

This rally, the latest in a series of protests in the UK was organized by the “Palestine Support Alliance in Britain”.

The group condemned the arrest of several demonstrators including a leader of the protests by British police and called for immediate release of the activists.

Major rallies were organized in other European capitals in support of Palestine and the ceasefire in Gaza.

Also, large crowds have gathered at pro-Palestine demonstrations in cities across Australia mere hours before a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas was due to come into effect.

Many of the protesters said that now-delayed deal does not go far enough and some said they have no plans to end their weekly rallies.

In Melbourne, a crowd of between two to three thousand protesters gathered at the State Library before a march through the CBD in hot conditions.

Protesters in Sydney marked the 67th pro-Palestine rally held since the Israeli regime launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023.

Indigenous activists in Brisbane said once the ceasefire comes into effect, it will be the first time many see the "extent of destruction" in Gaza.

Similar rallies were recently held in other cities including the Friday demonstration in Canberra.
