Kuala Lumpur to host Russia-Islamic World meeting

The Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur has scheduled to host the meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World on Wednesday December 11.

Under the slogan “Russia and the Islamic World:Cooperation in Emerging Multipolar Era”, the meeting aims to delve into the prospects of mutual relation between Russia and the Islamic countries.

The meeting also aims to highlight the parameters of cooperation in the evolving multipolar world.

More than 200 representatives including officials, political and religious figures and also public figures from 32 countries will attend the meeting in the Malaysian capital.

Among the participants are the chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “ Russia-Islamic World” and President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanovic, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sti Anwsr bin Ibrahim and deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Andrew Rudenko.


The discussions will focus on the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and religious cooperation.


The participants will also exchange views on Islamic banking, security as well as the outcomes of the late October BRICS Summit held in Kazan.
