WFPIST appoints director of 37th Islamic Unity Conference

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a decree to appoint director of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his decree, appointed Mahdi Agha Mohammad as the director of the 37th edition of the annual Islamic Unity Conference to be held in early October, 2023, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The 37th Islamic Unity Conference is annually held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
The birth anniversary of the prophet of Islam ends a week of festivities by world Shias and Sunnis also known as Islamic Unity Week.
 
Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought organizes the event inviting prominent Shia and Sunni clerics from across the globe to convene in the capital Tehran and exchange views on the different issues in the world of Islam.
