Iraqi cleric stresses cultural moves to counter Qur’an desecration
Sheikh Mahdi Qalandar al-Bayati, representative of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas at Tehran International Qur’an Exhibition, vowed that the measures to desecrate the holy book of Islam will be all in vain, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The reason for western efforts to empty the hearts of people from Qur’an is that they find the holy book of Islam a threat.”

Iraqi cleric noted,” Disbelievers cannot do anything, as far as the Islamic nation stands committed to the guidelines of holy Qur’an.”

The latest instance of Qur’an burning happened by a far-right Danish group, Patrioterne Gar Live, outside the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen. The move gas drawn much condemnation from different Muslim countries, international and Islamic organizations.
