Iran FM: Emotional behaviors are costly for Europe

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also did not consider the insulting behavior towards the sacredness of the divine religions, especially the insulting of the Holy Qur'an and the support of the Western governments under the title of freedom of speech, to be acceptable in any way and strongly condemned it.

Amir- Abdollahian, expressing his satisfaction at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of ECO and expressing his gratitude to the friendly government and dear nation of Uzbekistan for the warm hospitality and hosting of this meeting in Tashkent, congratulated the chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan to ECO in 2023 to Minister Jihun Bayramov and thanked the Secretary General of ECO for his effective efforts in advancing affairs and preparing this meeting.

He added: Three decades have passed since the efforts of 10 countries for regional convergence in this historical and civilizational area, and valuable bases for regional cooperation have been formed, although there is still a significant gap between the achievements and real capacities of the Eco region.

The head of the diplomatic service emphasized: In the ceremony held in Tehran on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the joining of seven new members to the Economic Cooperation Organization, I stated that ECO can be a successful model in South-South cooperation, cooperation between landlocked countries and transit countries; Cooperation between energy producing and consuming countries, people-oriented cooperation, especially in the field of tourism; Scientific and academic collaborations; and provide technological and innovative cooperation. Therefore, we believe that the common rich cultural, religious and ritual values and heritage of the member countries is a strong reason for such a clear vision in the region.
