Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, head of the policy making council at interfaith dialogue of ICRO has issued a message to condemn the Qur’an burning and desecration of religious sanctities by far-right Swedish activist under the pretext of freedom of expression, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” This is not the first instance of Satanic shows against Islam and Muslims happening in Sweden” and added,” Hirelings of Satan sometimes commit desecration of Islamic sanctities under the protection of their governments and pretext of freedom of expression.”

Iranian cleric called holy Qur’an as the most sacred, valuable and greatest relic from Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) for Muslims.

He said,” Qur’an stands as the book of life, death and resurrection and is constantly read, respected and loved by all Muslims.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Imanpour stressed,” To hold such vicious shows, under the pretext of protecting freedom, would irk Muslims who have been a constant supporter of other religions.”

Top scholar warned that such behaviors will bring serious damage to peaceful coexistence among followers of different religions as well as traditions and cultures.

He concluded,” The least reaction by world religious leaders, elites and liberal people particularly those in Europe and north America is to explicitly voice disavowal of Islamophobia, arson attack on Muslims and unveiling the notion that freedom permits desecration of religious sanctities.
