Iran FM stresses possible countermeasures conceivable if no change is seen in EUs position

The Minister of Foreign Affairs further stated :We have been trying to get the European Union to change its direction and perspective for months, and the result was that they came to the conclusion that this issue should not be raised in the European Union because the decisions of the Council of Ministers of the European Union are binding on themselves. But they passed this resolution at the level of the European Parliament as a part of a show off."
Iranian FM noted: "Today's action of the parliament and the plan that binds the government and at the same time considers the European military forces as a terrorist army, is a countermeasure. Of course, there are deep changes in the military formation of the military forces of the region and it will have important impacts."
Amir- Abdollahian stated: "According to the conversations I had with Mr. Burrell and the rotating president of the European Union, they stated that they are not looking for the implementation of this resolution and the resolution is only an expression of the feelings of the members of the European Parliament."
In response to the question on Iran's withdrawal from the NPT or the expulsion of the IAEA inspectors will be among Iran's confrontational behaviors, Iran's foreign minister said: Few European political leaders have no experience in the field of diplomacy, and today they are only at the head of the diplomatic apparatus, including the German Foreign minister. Therefore, if they do not move in the direction of rationality and correct their positions, any possible counter measure is conceivable."
