The President stated that despite the sanctions and threats, Iran has taken great steps towards development and progress, and said: We hope that the great capacities of Iran and Malaysia will be used to expand mutual cooperation.

 Khairy bin Omar, the new ambassador of Malaysia, while conveying the greetings of the king and the new prime minister and the people of Malaysia to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: Trade, investment, education, science and technology, and tourism are among the fields that can be the basis for the development of relations between Iran and Malaysia.
