Huj. Shahriari offers condolences over passing of senior Shia cleric

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought issued a message to offer condolences over demise of prominent Shia scholar Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Sadeq Husseini Rouhani.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari in this message hailed the late cleric for spending his entire life for objectives of Islam and promoting the teachings of Shia and Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” The prominent scholar was student of renowned jurists Ayatollah Seyyed Abulghassem Khoei and Seyyed Hussein Tabatabaei Boroujerdi who spent all their life for achieving knowledge, scientific and moral values of Shia, training knowledgeable student and promoting Islamic and Ahlul Bayt (AS) teachings.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari expressed sympathy with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, senior jurists, seminary professors and the bereaved family of the late cleric Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Sadeq Husseini Rouhani.
 
Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Sadeq Husseini Rouhani (1926-2022) was renowned Shia cleric who gained ijtihad from Ayatollah khoei at very young age. He began and completed his religious studies in the holy cities of Qom in Iran and Najaf in Iraq and began teaching jurisprudence in the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) shrine.
 
As a jurist he served for 61 years and passed away at the age of 96 on 16 December 2022.
