President Raisi highlights Makran coasts Iran's strategic area

In his speech in Jask port of Hormozgan province, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday while referring to the importance of Makran coasts in maritime trade, has stressed that this region can become a strategic area for the country.

 The president noted: "There are a lot of potential in the Makran coasts that can turn them to a very important and strategic economic and commercial, tourism and production hub in the country which will be source of prosperity not only for the people of the villages and cities of the region but also for many of our people in other parts of the country."
 
Raisi went on to say: "We must work together to settle problems this sensitive and strategic region of our country facing in such a way that there is no village that has drinking water problems and those who are looking for trade and fishing and service and production works including handicrafts can legally affords their lives and be useful for the country."
 
Upon his arrival in Hormozgan on Sunday, the President, while visiting the Jask region by air, examined various areas of the strategic area of ​​Makran coasts.
 
Ayatollah Raisi also attended the second naval area of ​​Jask Province on the occasion of the Army Navy Day and visited the capabilities of this force.
 
Historically, Makran is a coastal land in the southeast of Iran and southwest of Pakistan, which extends along the Gulf of Oman from Ras al-Kuh in the west of Jask to the southwest of Balochistan province of Pakistan.
 
The development of Makran coasts, which is the connecting point of the North-South corridor, has been emphasized many times in the remarks of the Supreme Leader as well as some senior officials in recent years.
