Hamas to mark 35th foundation anniversary in Gaza

Spokesman of Palestinian resistance Hamas announced that that movement will commemorate its 35th founding anniversary in a central festival to be held in Gaza City.

Hazem Qasem, in a statement on Wednesday, explained that the festival will include a keynote speech to highlight its positions on different issues in the Palestinian arena in addition to a number of celebratory activities.
 
“The festival will convey our support for our people’s uprising against the Israeli occupation in the West Bank, their struggle for their rights in 1948 occupied Palestine and the right of our people abroad to return to their homeland they were displaced from,” the spokesman added.
 
Hazem Qasem  also said that the anniversary event would emphasize Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites as a central issue in the Palestinian cause, especially with regard to the dangers threatening the Aqsa Mosque.
