Head of Syria’s Council of Scholars attending a meeting of Participants to the 36th Islamic Unity Conference with Iranian Foreign Minister on Friday night called confrontation with radicalism as a necessity for the Islamic ummah.

Syrian intellectual, in his address at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, called for review on books published in Muslim countries with the aim of desecration and extremism, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He called the annual Islamic Unity Conference held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought as a landmark in the world of Islam and said a unified Islamic ummah is embraced by Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
 
Syrian cleric added,” The remarks by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was influential as preventing extremism and radicalism were both highlighted since we witness the division which follows the sacrilegious books published in some Islamic countries.”
 
He stressed,” Confrontation with radicalism is a necessity for the world of Islam and the books published with the aim of desecrating religious sanctities or promoting extremism should be reviewed.”
 
Hessan Naeb concluded,” It is our pride to maintain our unity and cling to the rope of Allah in order to foil hostile plots hatched by enemies who can’t stand our unity.”
