Scientific, technical diplomacy are among tools for unity

According to Taghrib News Agency, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Iranian Nuclear Association, Dr. Javad Karimi in his meeting with the guests of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference, while congratulating the days of Unity Week and welcoming the guests on behalf of the head of the Atomic Energy Organization, said: Economy is one of the main pillars of power of countries. The economy has many components that are constantly changing, and today the most important component, is innovation in general and technological innovation, in Particular.
He continued: The Islamic world has huge resources, but its role in economic sector is not proportional to its resources and potentials. In Islamic Iran, nuclear technology is one of the components of power, and this technology is an essential factor for economic growth.
Karimi Sabet by asking the question, why do we consider nuclear technology as an important and effective technology in our country and said mankind has been continuously facing 4 challenges of water, energy, food shortages and health problems, and nuclear technology is a good remedy to these 4 challenges.
He stated that the crisis in Ukraine has drawn the attention of countries to nuclear technology more than before, and said in our country, the plan to build two nuclear reactors is on the agenda, and in the next 20 years, 20,000 megawatts of nuclear electricity will enter the country’s national grid.
He pointed out: In Iran, despite all the sanctions, more than one million patients use nuclear technology services, and we are even able to export in our products in this sector.
Emphasizing that scientific and technical diplomacy is one of the tools of unity, he said: Whenever we made a strategic retreat against arrogance and the enemy, it resulted in our retreat and whenever we stood up to their demands, it led to our country's progress.
Then, the visitors were taken around various centers of the Atomic Energy Organization and were briefed about their features and works by experts.
