Palestinian issue; The reason of progressing Islamic unity
Shikh Mohammad Alza’abi, Lebanese cleric, expressed his view of unity which is foundation of Islam, Islamic faith and Sharia, on 36th Islamic Unity Conference.

Lebanese cleric stated that if the Islamic Ummah enjoys unity, it will be a strong Ummah and will be able to convey its message to the world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
“Unity means focusing on commonalities; The commonalities that are definitely wider than the disputes among Muslims. All of us Muslims are united in believing in God Almighty, following the Holy Prophet, adhering to the path of the Prophet's Ahlul-Bait and considering the Holy Quran as our source and reference” he said.
Referring to Palestine issue, he noted “Today, Palestine is considered the main and central issue in the Islamic world. This is an issue that connects all of us in the Islamic Ummah. I can unequivocally say that if it were not for the Palestinian issue, the project of Islamic unity would not have progressed to this extent.”
Pointing out to necessity of activation of discourse of Islamic unity, he stressed “It is necessary that we have channels for cooperation and coordination with these scholars and thinkers.”
Regarding to some differences in Islamic schools of thoughts, Lebanese cleric noted “Even if we could not reach an agreement with each other regarding some controversial issues, we can determine rules and frameworks so that the controversial issues are not factors for the collapse of the Islamic unity.”
