Iran's VP says cultural ties can facilitate trade between Tehran, Baku

In his meeting with Azerbaijan's Prime Minister, the Iranian First Vice President said Tehran was determined to expand cultural ties with Baku.

 On the sidelines of the meeting on Thursday, Iran's Mohammad Mokhber told the Azeri Prime Minister Ali Asadov that there were extensive capacities for transport cooperation between the two countries and that Tehran was determined to strengthens the cooperation.
Mokhber highlighted the religious and cultural commonalties of the Iran and Azerbaijan and noted that the common grounds could expedite the development of the relations between the two countries, including the trade relations. 
Yet, the Iranian Veep reminded the Azeri prime minister that the joint borders of neighboring countries are a red line for Iran and any threat to these borders were not accepted. 
Ali Asadov, for his part, referred to the close relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, and said that the cordial relations could consolidate and accelerate the expansion of the cooperation between the two countries.
