Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic has met with Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi ahead of his trip to New York hailing the president’s report on Uzbekistan trip.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed satisfaction over the measures by President Raeisi in his recent visit to Uzbekistan and the meetings held on the sideline of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Leading a delegation of political and economic officials, Ayatollah Raeisi left Tehran for Uzbek city of Samarkand on Wednesday.
 
Iranian and Uzbek officials signed 17 MoUs in different fields of economy, transportation, culture and sports.
 
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian also signed the documents for accession of Iran to SCO.
 
President Raeisi met with officials from Russia, China, Pakistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikstan, India and Secretary General of SCO stressing expansion of diplomatic and economic relations as strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
