Raisi: Tehran-Moscow economic cooperation beneficial for two nations, regional countries

Referring to the various dimensions of economic, transit and banking cooperation between Iran and Russia, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "Tehran-Moscow economic cooperation is beneficial for the two nations and the countries of the region".

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran described Tehran-Moscow economic cooperation as useful for the two nations and the countries of the region and reviewed various aspects of economic, transit and banking cooperation between the two countries.
While reviewing NATO's expansionist policies, Dr Raisi mentioned the developments in the Caucasus and said, "Any change in the region's geopolitics is a destabilising and unacceptable action".
Recalling the miscalculation of the Americans in dealing with independent countries, Dr Raisi clarified, "America thinks that sanctions will interrupt the work of any government and nation that it imposes sanctions on, but this is a miscalculation, because in practice they have limited themselves".
In this meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the positions of Russia and Iran as convergent and harmonious, referring to the dangers of NATO's expansionist policies and said, "NATO's threats are not limited to Europe, but also include other countries around the world".
Emphasising that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made good achievements in the field of advanced technologies, the Russian President added, "We are willing to cooperate in these fields".
Referring to the extensive business relations between Moscow and Tehran, Vladimir Putin expressed satisfaction with the increase in the visits of the economic officials of the two countries and stated that the volume of trade between the two countries increased by 81% last year and by 30% in the first 5 months of this year".
Stating that the new Tehran-Moscow cooperation agreement is in the final stages, the Russian President announced his readiness to draft the document of strategic economic cooperation between the two countries.
Putin referred to the increase in interactions and consultations between the economic officials of the two countries and stated, "A delegation from Russia with the presence of representatives of 80 large Russian companies will leave for Iran next week".
Emphasising that we are doing everything necessary for Iran's permanent membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Russian President emphasised, "By going through the legal formalities, this matter will be done as soon as possible".
At the end, Putin noted, "Many plans for the development of relations between the two countries are progressing with the support of the Iranian leader, so we want this support to continue in the future".
