Cleric stresses essence of religion, Imam Reza’s school of thought

Senior Iranian cleric has called essence of religion and Imam Reza’s school of thought in his speech at the international meeting on the theme of “Justice for all and Oppression for Nobody” held in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Saeed Reza Ameli, secretary of the first preliminary session for the fifth round of Imam Reza Global Congress enumerated the central themes of the congress hailing the similar meetings held in other countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He counted essence and truth of religion, an ontological look towards religion, justice in a monotheistic realm and respect for human dignity in Imam Reza’s school of thought as themes for the international congress.
 
The cleric also pointed to justice and confrontation with oppression in the life of the eighth Shia Imam as the other axes of the international meeting.
 
Senior scholar hailed similar conventions held in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Lebanon expressing hope that the event will lead to promotion of Imam Reza (AS) teachings across the globe.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ameli called for establishment of justice in cultural, political and economic aspects of society stressing that true Islamic teachings and Imam Reza’s culture are capable of improving living conditions today.
 
Professors, thinkers and scholars from France, Pakistan, Senegal, Australia, Lebanon, Syria, Mexico also delivered speeches on the “necessity of a focal attention on Imam Reza’s civilizing mindset and the revival of his valuable legacy in promoting justice”, “the justice that would be established under the rule of Imam Mahdi (AS), the Twelfth Shia Imam” and “the role of patience in human dignity, interfaith dialogue in Thailand, and the predominance of injustice in the U.S. society”.
