Iraqi Sunni clerics hail Imam Reza shrine library

Iraqi Sunni scholars and Friday prayer leaders visited the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the Iranian northeastern city of Mashhad hailing the library of Astan-e-Quds as role model for scientific-cultural centers across the world of Islam.

A group of Sunni Friday prayer leaders from Iraq lauded the scientific and cultural excellence of library at holy shrine of the eighth Shia Imam calling that the backbone of the Islamic world.
 
Sheikh Khalil Chardoughli, Friday Prayer leader of Kirkuk Yahyavi Mosque noted,” Not only is Imam Reza shrine central library outstanding in the Islamic world, it also goes beyond Muslim communities.”

Expressing hope that the cultural facility should continue expansion, the Iraqi prayer leader praised the rare manuscripts in the library, “some of which are not to be found anywhere else”. 

Sheikh Hassan Basri, member of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought lauded the success of the library an achievement for the Islamic Republic of Iran and cited the place as the scientific backbone of the Islamic world.

He reiterated the prominent standing of the central library as a paragon of scientific-cultural excellence throughout Muslim communities and prided himself on promoting the place in different Islamic centers.
 
The Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi, also called "The Sacred Library of Astan Moqaddasah” and “The Library of Astan Quds Razavi”, is one of the most ancient and largest Islamic libraries, that has still remained firm as a precious and grand heritage passed on from the ancient centuries to the Muslim people of Iran.
